Dear Sicomac Families,
We may have only had a four-day week, but we certainly packed it with excitement!
Thank you to everyone who supported our Book Fair and celebrated our students' reading journeys. It was wonderful to see so many families shopping together. We were also thrilled to welcome you to Back to School Night. As I shared during our Full School Meeting, the partnership between our dedicated staff, supportive families, and amazing Sicomac Eagles guarantees a truly remarkable year ahead.
Picture Day Update
Picture Day is scheduled for Monday, September 28. Because our class photos are taken outdoors, I will monitor the weather closely and notify all families Sunday afternoon if we will proceed as planned or move to our rain date on Tuesday, September 29.
A Visit from Dog Man
A special thank you to Mrs. Stern for arranging a visit from one of our favorite heroes, Dog Man! Students kicked off the week with movement, trivia, and lots of smiles during our very first assembly of the year, all centered around a shared love of reading.
NJ School Attendance Month
September is New Jersey School Attendance Month. Consistent, punctual attendance is essential for student success and academic growth. We kindly ask that you schedule appointments outside of school hours whenever possible. Please remember that students should be in their classrooms by 8:50 AM to be marked on time. Our morning meetings begin right at 8:50 AM, and arriving on time allows students to settle in, connect with peers, and prepare for a great day of learning. If you have any questions regarding attendance, please feel free to reach out to me.
