KM read a book titled Snow Party by Harriet Ziefert. inspired by the winter night scenes in the book, students created their own monochromatic painting. During the next art session, we will add a "snow party" collage using colorful, textured oapers.




2D artists are working on their paintings based on the book titled This Little Kitty.

January marks the grand opening of Library Tamagotchi Paradise!
Thanks to a generous grant from @zimcares , our library now has four adorable digital pets ready for student caretakers.
Students will team up to feed them, play with them, and help them thrive — because every library should have a few quirky class pets. 😉

Fourth graders are teaming up and tackling problems together before Wednesday’s test! Partners are talking through each step to feel confident and ready!





Family visits, sharing traditions and heritages, helps us to appreciate and learn about each other! Today we enjoyed learning about Belgium!



Thanksgiving week in the Sicomac Library was packed with fun! We welcomed mystery readers in Kindergarten, 4th, and 5th grade, built STEM challenges such as hiding our turkeys, designed tables for the big feast, and much more.










Sicomac Library is buzzing with December excitement! New STEM challenges are set up in our stations, and mystery readers are joining our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders for some extra reading fun.










The 4G paleontologists were busy discovering different fossils and identifying what layer of rock they were found in!








In 2C we've been working hard on goal setting to successfully write our nonfiction pieces.

Today the fourth graders solved a math mystery!
They worked together to identify multiples and factors, solve word problems and uncover patterns as they tracked down the sneaky Tom the Turkey.
So much teamwork, excitement, and giggles while chasing down that tricky turkey!
