Dear Sicomac Families,

Our building is buzzing with excitement as we kick off a new school year. Our team has been hard at work preparing classrooms and getting ready for a memorable and successful year for every one of our Sicomac Eagles. We are eager and so happy to have everyone back in the building next week.

This year, we welcome several new members to our dedicated teacher team. Their energy, passion, experience, and commitment will help Sicomac continue to reach new heights. Meet some of our newest Eagles:

Kristin Borelli, 4th Grade: I have been teaching for 17 years. My family loves it here! I have taught fourth grade and sixth grade in Wood-Ridge. I have lived in Wyckoff for 16 years, and my two children are currently in the Wyckoff School District. My son, Brendan, will be a Freshman at Ramapo, and my daughter, Reagan, is in sixth grade and starting at Eisenhower. They are proud Coolidge School alumni. I have experienced the Wyckoff School District as a parent, and it truly has been a second family. I am excited to be a part of that family as an educator at Sicomac.

Kristen Conners, 2nd Grade: My name is Kristen Conners, and this is my second year teaching in Wyckoff Public Schools. I am very excited to join Sicomac School and teach second grade this year. I will be entering my eighth year as a teacher in the elementary school setting. Outside of school, I have twin boys who are two and a half years old, which keeps me very busy! I am looking forward to an amazing school year with your children!

Courtney Hubbard, 5th Grade: This will be my fifth year at Sicomac and my first year as a lead teacher.  I'm so excited to step into this role and continue my work in an even greater capacity.  As a proud Wyckoff parent of 3 children, I have immense pride in our town and school system. I'm looking forward to this new chapter in my Sicomac career.

Gabrielle Unger, 4th Grade: My name is Gabrielle Unger, and I’m excited to join Sicomac Elementary as a fourth grade teacher. As a Sicomac alum, I am thrilled to return to the school that truly feels like home. I have experience teaching second, third, and fourth grade. My goal for this year is to create a memorable classroom community where every student feels confident, supported, and ready to embrace new challenges.

Mia Caviasco, Kindergarten: This will be my second year at Sicomac and my first year as a classroom teacher. I am so excited to work with the Sicomac team, parents, and your children to have a fantastic year! I am looking forward to creating wonderful connections and memories with your children.

Keith Dunbar, Principal: I am thrilled to be joining the Sicomac family! While I am new to Sicomac, I bring with me a career in education serving as a teacher, dean, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. What excites me most about being here is the opportunity to partner with you in supporting every child. Together, we will help your children grow academically, socially, and emotionally so that they are prepared to pursue all of their hopes and dreams. Sicomac is truly the place to be, and I am honored to begin this journey with you.
