Dear Sicomac Families,
I continue to be incredibly proud of the hard work and growth I see from our students each day. Our students are showing tremendous progress across all grade levels, and their enthusiasm for learning is truly inspiring. This week, I had the pleasure of meeting with our PTO board, joining our community in wearing blue for National Children's Grief Awareness Day, welcoming Kindergarten parents into Morning Meeting, and watching our dedicated teachers wrap up their parent-teacher conferences. We are flying high at Sicomac, and the positive energy is felt in every hallway and classroom. Below are some highlights and updates so you can stay connected with all that's happening.

Classroom Spotlight
This week's cover photo features Ms. Anderson's 3rd graders. Students in 3A are moving through their routines with confidence as they tackle multiplication using a variety of strategies to deepen their understanding. Our young mathematicians are collaborating to solve problems, sharing their partners' work with the class, teaching one another through enrichment activities, and taking full advantage of small-group instruction. Their enthusiasm and teamwork are wonderful to see.

Sicomac Strut Update
Last week's Sicomac Strut was a trmendous success! We know that active students learn better and feel better so we are so thankful for our PE department and PTO for facilitating this fun event. A special shout-out goes to classes 5E and 2D for logging the most laps. More importantly, our students gave their very beset and collectively ran 352 miles. That's about the distance from Sicomac to Pittsburgh! What an incredible achievement. Well done, Eagles!
Mission and Vision Statement
Thank you to everyone who helped identify Sicomac School's core values and foundational pillars. We are excited to share the first draft of our mission and vision statements and invite you to review and provide feedback. Parents, students, and staff all play an essential role in shaping the direction of our school, and your voices will directly influence the next phase of this work.
Please take a few moments to read the draft statements linked here. You will have the opportunity to rate the statements, select your favorites, and share additional feedback if you wish. As always, I am grateful for your partnership and commitment to Sicomac's growth.
