We had a wonderful week of learning at Sicomac, highlighted by our celebration of Neurodiversity Week. Throughout the week, students engaged in meaningful conversations to help them recognize their individual strengths, build empathy, and deepen their understanding of one another. At Sicomac, we proudly celebrate the Minds of All Kids, and I am incredibly proud of how our students and staff embraced this important work with curiosity and openness. NJSLA-A Update
This spring, students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will participate in the NJSLA-A assessments in reading, writing, mathematics, and science. Please review the attached letter from Dr. Postma and Mrs. White for additional information regarding testing schedules and details.
Sicomac's Testing Dates will be as follows:
May 5th - ELA
May 7th - ELA
May 13th - Math
May 18 & 19 - Science (5th Grade Only)
Parent Workshop Opportunity
Wyckoff Public Schools will host a parent workshop on April 9th titled Growth Mindset and the Power of Learning Through Struggle. This session will provide practical strategies to support resilience and learning at home. Please see the flyer below for additional information.
Report Cards
Report cards will be available on the Genesis Parent Portal beginning Friday, March 27th, at the end of the school day. Report cards serve as an important tool for communication between teachers and families, helping us work together to support each child’s growth and progress. If you experience difficulty accessing the portal, please contact the Genesis Helpdesk at genesis@wyckoffps.org
Grade 5 Fairview Lakes Trip
Families of fifth-grade students are reminded that all forms and payments for the Fairview Lakes YMCA trip for incoming sixth graders are due by March 31st. Materials may be submitted to the main office.
